Introducing CSA Artist, Carmen Duran Zaleski
Of all the artists participating in the CSA program this year I am most excited to include Carmen Duran Zaleski. Growing up in the same small town in central Wisconsin, she and I have the longest history together. After graduating from high school, our paths took us in different geographical directions but we still have that common bond of our hometown. The years have passed since then but we have kept in touch using the power of the internet and the convenience of Facebook. She generously shares both her paintings and photography on her Facebook page. Much of her photography is taken in and around our hometown and allows me to stay connected to the beauty and events of the area.
About the Artist
Carmen Duran Zaleski
Hello there! I ‘ve always enjoyed being creative. I remember so well in high school and college the challenge of not getting a lot of the ‘usual’ schoolwork done because I was happily working on my latest art project. When I was raising my kids, a lot of the creativity had to be directed elsewhere.
Now after 30+ years , I have returned to a creative life that includes art and photography. Most of the photos I share are from my hometown. I am still learning new things about photography all the time. I hope you all enjoy them and if you love being creative, don’t wait 30 years!
