Imagine No Boundaries
Lately, my thoughts and actions have been ruled by the soon to be reality of my oldest son “leaving the nest” and moving on to the next phase of his life…COLLEGE. He has chosen to attend Tulane University, 1,037 miles away from home. WOW!!! I hadn’t thought of it in that numeric reference before (thanks Google Maps). When I haven’t been busy making reservations for things like orientation, flights, hotels, etc., I have been thinking about all those things that he needs, both mentally and physically. Does he know how to sew a button on a shirt…does he know where to get a button if he loses one?
I envy him as he enters the stage of life when anything and everything is possible. We’ve tried to stress that this first year of college should be about trying different things to find ones that he is passionate about. I hope that I have been a good role model when it comes to following your passion. He (and all the world) is only limited by imagination.
When it comes to my passion for art, I am trying to find a way to combine the many different art mediums and styles that I use into a style that is “me”. As part of this quest, I am going back to working with acrylic paints. So in the next few months, that is what you will be seeing from me as part of the 2015 Community Supported Art program. Now all I need to do is find time to get back into my studio. 🙂
