Choices and Creativity
One thing I talk about ALOT when I am teaching Zentangle classes, is the idea that one must accept the past and move forward with what you have. There is no right or wrong with creativity, only choices. This past week I was telling Maggie, of Maggie Hogan Photography and this week’s featured CSA artist, about how I periodically find “missed photos” on my camera. You know, the kind that happen when you accidentally press the shutter release while you are still pointing the camera at the floor or ceiling, or when your subject moves (because you, of course, are always rock steady with the camera) so you end up with a blurry image. Maggie told me how even those “missed photos” can be turned into amazing pieces of art if you can look past the original intent. This week she chose to use one of her “missed photos”, which as a professional photographer, are results of testing lighting or other elements prior to a photo shoot. She digitally manipulated the photo to create a magical and vibrant image of swirling light. I hope you make the choice to be creative in your life. You are only limited by your imagination.
